The Product Specialist is involved in analyzing data submitted to secureID and Information Management System, determining students with duplicate or shared IDs then coming to a resolution - whether merging or retiring IDs.
Perform analysis, testing, and implementation in support of maintenance, enhancement, and development work for internal applications that support core business functions.
Analyze, design, and code enhancements, development programs, and/or required fixes to production problems.
Work with application lead analyst to gather and interpret user requirements.
Confer with technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing.
Design and develop prototypes based on user requirements.
Develop technical specifications.
Use ServiceNow to manage various work items.
Test enhancement and development programs and issue fixes.
Conduct adequate unit testing for all developed code.
Assist with creation of system test specifications.
Help conduct system testing using system test specifications.
Create content for program and operational documentation, including deployment and user manuals.
Support deployment of application releases into production.
Research problems independently.
Process open bugs and correct technical errors.
Review and understand the application team's work plan.
Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the application team.
Plan and execute all required process steps.
Participate in ongoing process improvement.
Possess ability to work in a team environment.
Complete assigned tasks and issues, reporting status, actions, and time spent on them.
Possess strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
Execute responsibilities with little direct supervision.
Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Help provide estimates for change requests.
