Pennsylvania Legislative Budget and Finance Committee The Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (LBFC) is a bipartisan, bicameral legislative service agency consisting of 12 members of the General Assembly.
LBFC conducts performance audits and evaluations, the primary purpose of which is to provide an independent assessment of the extent to which (1) government organizations, programs, activities, or functions efficiently and effectively carry out their responsibilities and comply with applicable laws and regulations; (2) resources are being acquired, protected, and used economically, efficiently, and effectively for intended purposes; and (3) program goals are being achieved and, where appropriate, recommend specific courses of action.
To carry out these mandates, the LB&FC is authorized to conduct a wide range of research activities about the operation and performance of state-funded programs and agencies.
The analyst position has the following
Responsibilities:
Document program systems, processes, internal controls, and applicable risk assessments.
Perform analytical reviews of performance/financial data and evaluate the results.
Prepare work papers to evidence work performed, document results, support conclusions, and demonstrate compliance with applicable standards and LBFC policy.
Conduct research and information-gathering activities.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Applicants should have the following skills and characteristics:
Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher with a major course of study in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics.
Relevant work experience may substitute for a degree in one of the specified fields.
Ability to perform data analysis and visualization using large datasets.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with R, Python, SQL, or Tableau.
Knowledge of the methods and technologies used in planning and conducting research and performance evaluation.
Ability to clearly and succinctly convey accounting, economic, market, statistical, and financial concepts verbally and in writing in a manner that is appropriate for the intended audience.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently.

Compensation will be based on education, skills, and experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
