25 an hour A Help Desk Specialist - Tier 1 is an entry-level position in the IT industry responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, and other related peripherals.
The primary duty of a Tier 1 specialist is to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported by end-users in a timely and efficient manner.
They must have strong communication skills, as they will be required to explain technical problems and solutions to non-technical personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Responding to user inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems with hardware and software.
Escalating more complex issues to Tier 2 support or other appropriate channels.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
Experience with remote desktop software.
Understanding of basic networking concepts.
