Position Overview:
We are currently seeking Wedding DJs to join our dynamic team.
Experience is not required as we have an extensive and thorough training program.
As a Wedding DJ at Mixed-Up Productions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every wedding or celebration we are a part of is a memorable and joyous occasion.
You will be responsible for curating playlists, seamlessly transitioning between songs, and creating an atmosphere that reflects the couple's vision for their special day.
Responsibilities:
Music Curation:
Work closely with couples to understand their musical preferences and create customized playlists that suit their taste and style.
Stay updated on current music trends and popular wedding songs to ensure a diverse and engaging music selection.
Event Coordination Collaborate with wedding planners, photographers, and other vendors to coordinate the timing of music during key moments of the event, such as the ceremony, reception, and dances.
Ensure smooth transitions between different phases of the wedding, maintaining a seamless and enjoyable experience for the couple and their guests.
Equipment Setup and Management:
Set up and test audio and lighting equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues during events to ensure uninterrupted entertainment.
Interact with Guests:
Serve as a master of ceremonies, making announcements, and engaging with guests to create an energetic and lively atmosphere.
Read the crowd and adjust the music selection accordingly to keep the dance floor packed.
Professionalism:
Maintain a polished and professional appearance, representing Mixed-Up Productions in a positive light.
Adhere to timelines and schedules, ensuring punctuality for all events.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Wedding DJ, with a portfolio of successful weddings a plus (not required) Extensive knowledge of various music genres, including familiarity with traditional and contemporary wedding songs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in operating DJ equipment and audio-visual systems a plus (not required) Ability to adapt to different musical preferences and wedding styles.
Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities.
