The Strategic Sourcing Director is responsible for leading the execution of outsourcing and offshoring of servicing operations and functional support areas across the enterprise for greater efficiency, growth, and profitabilityThe Director will also be responsible for other assigned spend categoriesThe Director will establishing objectives for a group of spend categories along with developing priorities for the short term and long term sourcing plans; overseeing and adjusting the execution of sourcing and procurement strategies; leading the development and execution of reporting and tracking mechanisms; reporting on sourcing strategies and performance; driving cross-functional category teams in change management and contract life-cycle efforts; enhancing the definition of procurement requirements and operational needs, and driving continuous improvement and operational efficienciesThis position directly supports total cost of ownership (TCO) efforts for $100 - $200 million or more in spend with third-parties.
This position works closely with the business units, IT, Finance, Risk, Legal, and other stakeholders to manage strategic sourcing strategies that drive significant value and impact for operations, driving opportunities to capture cost benefits and service enhancementsThis position reports to the VP of Strategic Sourcing.
Responsibilitieso Identify and evaluate outsourcing opportunities to meet the enterprise's objectives and long-term strategic plan, in collaboration with the business units and support functions.
o Identifying and prioritizing offshoring opportunities, developing and maintain an opportunity pipeline.
o Actively partner with the business units and supporting functions to develop detailed requirements (e.
gprocedures, Service Levels, minimum skills, systems/integrations, reporting requirements, etc.
).
o Fully execute strategic sourcing (competitive bidding and negotiations) related to BPO and other assigned categories.
o Develops strategic sourcing category strategies, execute related change management efforts, and direct cross-functional teams throughout the sourcing and contractingo Drives data driven analysis of category spend to identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).
o Develops fact-based negotiation strategies and lead vendor contract negotiations.
o Drives thought leadership providing market and industry intelligence, innovation, and best practices including alternative supply sources.
o Manages strategic vendor relationships based on business criticality and size of relationship.
o Manages procurement/sourcing and stakeholder engagement (internal and external), effectively delegating activities, and monitoring tasks to drive process to successful completion.
o Interacts with all levels of management, including senior management, within the Company, with regulators, and with vendors to ensure strategic direction, operational, and quality goals are achieved.
o Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational riskDemonstrate consideration for Cenlar's reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualificationso Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceo CPM, MBA or relevant Master's degree, preferred o At least 15 years of experience in strategic sourcing, contracting, vendor management or equivalent experienceo Extensive experience in business process outsourcing and vendor offshoring operations, including market knowledge, competitive bidding, contracting and implementation o Captive experience, preferredo Financial services / mortgage industry experience is strongly preferred o Superior analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis, and draw accurate conclusionso Strong conceptual thinking skills with adeptness to lead others through ambiguous, challenging, and complex issueso Extensive experience managing change across multiple stakeholder groupso Superior negotiation skills to positively internal stakeholders as well as third partieso Superior contract/vendor negotiation preparation and execution skills to achieve desired and productive outcomes from negotiationso Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skillso Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with strong influencing and persuasive talentso Self-motivated, takes initiative, and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task, and prioritize a wide array and high volume of initiativeso An aptitude for innovation and a passionate curiosity for driving productive changeo High integrity and ethicso Detail orientedo Ability and flexibility to work extended hours and travel to meet business requirements (some international travel is likely to be required)Total RewardsAt Cenlar, you'll receive an outstanding benefits package that includes paid medical, dental, and life insurance, 401(k), and tuition assistance as well as opportunities for training and professional advancement.
