JOB SUMMARY

Performs financial and business related research and analysis such as the preparation of forecasts and/or analysis of moderately complex financial reports, records, and trends. Develops and maintains spreadsheets, databases and/or mainframe based systems and software to facilitate analysis and reporting. Responsible for conducting and documenting moderately complex financial analysis projects. Assists in the development and/or documentation of business policies, conducts special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses. Creates and conducts presentations regarding analysis and trends. Create journal entries as needed in support of the company.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree plus 2 or more years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance, OR a High School Diploma plus 8 or more years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance. 2 or more years of experience with various computer applications to include MS Excel, MS Access.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in a Business related field of study plus 2 or more years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance. Experience in the health insurance industry Experience managing/participating in departmental projects Experience creating and conducting presentations Knowledge of forecasting Deltek Product (Cost Point, Time & Expense, Budget & Planning software packages with the product)

Area of Responsibility and Key Activities/Elements:
Communicate effectively. This position displays effective communication skills while performing the following functions: Coordinates with other departments, locations and divisions. Communication with other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. Communication with Management at Diversified Service Options, Inc., subsidiaries, affiliates, other third parties, etc. as to project status and completion deadlines.
Performs financial and business related analysis Analyzes, evaluates and interprets appropriate financial and statistical data Assists in the development and/or documentation of business policies, conducts special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses. Assists with moderately complex financial and business related analyses and research which may include the preparation of forecasts and/or analysis of trends. Analyzes moderate to complex financial reports and records. Provide reasoning for variances and may make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Advising management of expected outcomes. Under general direction pursues fundamental problem solving and documents the recommendations to management.Facilitation of analysis and reporting. Utilizes computer to input, retrieve or display accounting information. Develops and maintains spreadsheets and databases. Utilizing PC and/or mainframe based systems and software, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.
Projects Serves as a project team member for special projects within the department. Conduct or assist in the documentation of moderately complex financial analysis projects. Participate in special financial analysis projects and preparation of ad hoc reports; to include but not limited to; gathering of data, analysis, documentation of findings, and calculation of results and generation of reports for distribution. Make recommendations based on findings when necessary.
This job requires the ability to work independently and as a team member. Additionally, this job requires the willingness and ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and may require working irregular hours, holidays and/or weekends.
